What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Province Land Company?
The accounts payable specialist will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all vendors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner, as well as other misc. office tasks when needed. Office operates mostly DIGITAL -- majority work is done in the cloud / email / text.
Responsibilities
- Fully process weekly accounts payables and receivables in a timely and efficient manner. Accurately coding and entering invoices into the accounting system for multiple properties.
- Perform day-to-day accounting transactions in AppFolio and/or Quickbooks.
- Reconcile vendor statements, CC statements, and resolve any outstanding issues
- Assist in preparing and processing vendor payments, YE 1099 creation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and approval processes
- Provide support for audits and other financial inquiries
- Process bank deposits for multiple bank accounts
- Professionally correspond with company emails in a timely manner
- Must be diligent on daily USPS Mail, email and text correspondence
- Keep necessary filing up to date and organized
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Windows Office 365 required
- AppFolio accounting software experience preferred; property management AP experience a plus
- Data entry skills along with financial reporting knowledge
- Team-oriented and flexible with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Associate’s degree in accounting/business, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience as accounts payable clerk in fast paced industry
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Self-starter who’s able to work independently and meet deadlines, thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to ask questions
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
