As a Compliance Administrator you will provide support in all activities related to the Shop & Operations by tracking compliance and driver safety, ensure driver logs are accurate, monitoring and distribution of telematics equipment, assist in driver training, and assist in other related compliance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administration and tracking of telematics devices for all equipment, including vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
  • Assist in trend analysis and reporting of USDOT score, hours of service violations, physical exams, license renewals, driver safety, and vehicle inspections.
  • Complies with administration; data entry, ensure driver logs are accurate, Fleet permits (oversize), and other local, state or federal mandated inspections or permits.
  • Records and provides weekly reporting on Shop employees to Shop Manager(s); time sheets, credit card reconciliations, and other.
  • Serves as main point of contact and resolution coordinator for Samsara platform.
  • Assist in ELD compliance training when on-boarding new drivers.
  • Scheduled audits of Samsara platform.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking financial budget.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with ability to interpret / understand ambiguous questions and / or information.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to maintain productive working relationships with shop personnel, user groups, and outside vendors.
  • Must be well organized to meet heavy workloads and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Requires experience with various computer software programs (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Dynamics 365 or other) for managing compliance activities.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and deal with challenges / issues.
  • Must demonstrate strong ethics, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
  • Knowledge of budget analysis techniques, leading fleet maintenance practices, and applicable legislation / regulations is a plus.
  • Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years or more of experience in an Administrative role with a minimum of 2 years in fleet administration or similar
  • Proficient in Microsoft software such as Word, and Excel
  • Must have good business written and oral communication skills and effective listening skills
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Strong customer service skills a must
