As part of Financial Management (FM) Transformation, the Expense Management Technology (eTech) team is seeking a creative, action-oriented individual with an entrepreneurial attitude and successful decision-making abilities to lead one of our Expense Transformation workstreams as a Product Owner (PO) and Vice President. We will achieve our vision by creating: A simplified, modular, and integrated model and technology architecture, World-class business intelligence and decision analytics, fueled by accurate, readily available data, End-to-end process automation, A culture that embraces transformational innovation, organizational agility, and continuous improvement, and Superior employee experience The PO will drive the eTech vision, specifically leading end-to-end expense forecasting, reporting and overall management of the Enterprise’s Labor expense category (FTE). They will lead a team and partner with subject matter experts and technology associates to ideate, design, develop, and implement a redefined and transformed function within the organization. This will encompass managing aspects of finance, technology, project management, and people management. The PO will set a bold and clear product vision and communicate ‘the story’ effectively to key stakeholders, business partners and the broader team. They will own the end-to-end strategy from inception to production, driving business value along the way. Also ensuring alignment of product features and stories and look to continuously improve the team’s backlog. This includes working with the Chief Product Owner and business leaders to ensure alignment with the strategic objectives of FM Transformation. Some (but not all) of the busy periods in this job will be cyclical, however they will be based on the peaks of deliverables, addressing hurdles along the way, and meeting key milestones. Some of the busy times may be predictable, while others may not. The current EWA for this position can be either Hybrid or remote. If Hybrid, requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your manager. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. If remote, travel on at least a quarterly basis, but perhaps monthly, will be required. What you can expect: In an Agile manner, develop product roadmaps and lead the buildout of those roadmaps leading to a streamlined end-to-end process of expense forecasting, reporting, and management of the corporate function’s labor expense category. Ultimately be responsible for execution of the product. Meeting customer expectations, timing, milestones, etc. Identify and organize technical resources required to execute on the roadmap Drive consensus with a broad and diverse audience to advance the vision and execute the transformation objectives Utilization of flexible collaboration styles to build a cohesive team and maintain progress including treating everyone as an equal, listening to different perspectives, establishing an inclusive environment, and driving team members’ growth by providing high-quality feedback Train and upskill the organization to use the implemented products driving streamlined applications of similar processes across the enterprise Understand how different individuals and groups will react to changes and use that understanding to proactively manage through change including evaluating difficult situations, understanding the challenges, and take the necessary risks to meet key milestones Remain positive and inspiring during demanding situations and drive others to be a part of the solution understanding that this job is not about knowing the right answer, but finding it What you’ll need: 8-12 years of well diversified experience in a corporate environment preferably within Product Management, Expense Management, Data Analytics and Model Building, and / or driving Business outcomes and decision making A tech and customer focused mindset which will drive product ideation and implementation Experience leading small teams focused on financial management, data model building, and process improvement Technical expertise in business level financial and strategic analysis Demonstrated success in achieving long-term goals while managing short-term challenges Experience with solution ideation, design, and implementation It’d be a plus if you had: Excellent project management and business partnering skills, along with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills Ability to understand the competitive environment and help implement leading-edge technologies and process improvements for finance end-users MBA or Data Modeling or Analytics credentials, a plus Prudential welcomes all applicants, even if you don't meet every requirement. What we offer you: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $200,000.00 to $270,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
