What You'll Be Doing: Performs a variety of assignments such as conducting architectural studies, developing design concepts and design criteria, and preparing CAD drawings. Ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Writes construction specifications and prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Interfaces with suppliers as required. Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project site. Reviews, approves, and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others. Provides the seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract. Provides technical guidance to Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent) is required and typically 5 years of Related Experience, or Master’s degree and typically 5 years related experience. Professional registration in State of Maryland is required at this level. What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in architecture or structural design In good standing with the NCARB Member in good standing with AIA Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and REVIT software to perform designs Licensed in the state of Maryland Able to draw in AutoCad designs with attention to the details Ability to write specifications Ability in working with a design team to develop and satisfy customer and client needs. Previous design experiences and models High-level problem-solving for unique building conditions Comprehension behind building and design regulations and working in codes other than IBC and UBC Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
