JOB SUMMARY

Under the directions of the Executive Director, the Recruitment Manager will be responsible for the Ally Recruitment, operations, and management at the Public Allies Milwaukee site. This includes tabling, career fairs, information sessions, and conducting one on one sessions to recruit potential candidates, as well as coordinating interviews. This position will also work closely with the National Office to ensure compliance with AmeriCorps requirements for incoming members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & KEY OUTCOMES

Ally Recruitment

Plan, develop, and implement an ally recruitment strategy to fill participant slots.

Lead community outreach to potential applicants.

Builds relationships with community organizations, government agencies, high schools, colleges, nonprofits, and other organizations that serve or engage young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 and attending or planning recruitment events.

Cultivate and coordinate the recruitment of a fellow cohort of up to 10 second year Allies.

Work with the Executive Director to coordinate the Ally application, interview, evaluation and matching processes, including all required compliance processes (i.e criminal history checks)

Assess and build out current messaging and communication for Ally recruitment.

Regularly report progress to the Executive Director.

  • WORKING CONDITIONS

    The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. It may require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. It rarely requires kneeling, pushing / pulling, and repetitive motions of the feet.

    Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling, and grasping regularly. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. It requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and adding machine or calculator.

    The position is generally performed in an office environment. The noise level is generally low to quiet. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.     The salary for this role is $60,000.
