What the role is]
The Facilities Management and Engineering Department (FMED) manages the facilities maintenance and cyclical repairs of MSE-owned hawker centres.
What you will be working on]
As a Senior Executive in the Facilities Management and Engineering Department, you will be part of the team under the Business Infrastructure Branch that supports the development, management, and maintenance of NEA premises.
You are responsible for managing the day-to-day Facilities Management (FM) operations including the following :
- Coordinate the management and maintenance of multiple NEA sites
- Liaise with stakeholders such as internal staff, landlords, and other government agencies on matters related to maintenance, fire safety, workplace safety, and facilities for NEA sites
- Supervise the maintenance works carried out by contractors and ensure works completed are in order and in accordance with stipulated requirements
- Seek quotations, review contractor’s proposal / quotation, and verify / assess rates provided are in order
- Draft technical specifications for services / works, initiate procurement requests, and ensure deliverables meet specified requirements
- Supervise the delivery and completion of facility-related improvement projects e.g. renovations
