The purpose of this position is to serve as an Associate Relations representative to non-management associates in Retail Operations. This entails being the primary point of contact for non-management associates when they utilize the Open Door Policy and want to speak with someone from Human Resources.

- Evaluating and responding to HR policy or procedure questions initiated by non-management associates through Publix’s proactive communication processes and systems, such as phone calls to corporate or divisional office locations, being the point of contact listed on the Open Door Policy poster in retail stores, calls or e-mails submitted to the PIP and Ethics Line, and calls or e-mails submitted to the Customer Care Center.
- Evaluating and responding to HR associate relations concerns
- Representing Publix at unemployment compensation (UC) hearings
- Providing analytical and administrative support to Associate Relations Specialists for complex or in-depth investigations
- Monitoring restricted beverage sale checks in our stores and ensuring that appropriate action is taken in accordance with our policy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or Business
- One year of experience working in a service environment, directly responsible for handling customer questions and concerns
- Knowledge of basic equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, such as:
- Federal employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of government agency procedures related to Title VII, ADA, FMLA
- State and local laws, regulations, and ordinances
- Employee assistance and substance abuse programs and practices
- Workers’ Compensation regulations and processes

- Knowledge of data, metrics, reports, and resources available, including the methods used to access those resources
