Job Summary
Pueblo Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Red Cross Aquatics Lifeguarding Instructor to join our team. This part-time position will be responsible for instructing lifeguarding courses, ensuring student success, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Red Cross-certified lifeguarding courses, including water safety and CPR/AED training.
- Provide high-quality instruction to students of varying skill levels.
- Ensure compliance with American Red Cross and PCC safety guidelines.
- Conduct skill assessments and provide constructive feedback to participants.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and certifications.
- Monitor pool activities and enforce safety protocols during training sessions.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe aquatic facility.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor (LGI) in good standing.
- Current certifications in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid.
- Previous experience teaching lifeguarding courses preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
