This position is responsible for developing and delivering customized welding training programs to students with Pueblo Corporate College (a division of Pueblo Community College). This role involves teaching both theoretical concepts and practical skills in welding, ensuring students gain the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to succeed in the welding industry. The instructor will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
-Design and develop welding course materials, including lesson plans, syllabi, and instructional guides.
-Update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and technological advancements in welding.
Instruction and Training Delivery:
-Conduct engaging and interactive classes on various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
-Provide hands-on training in welding labs, ensuring students develop practical skills and proficiency.
Safety and Compliance:
-Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the classroom and lab environments.
-Educate students on safety practices and the proper use of welding equipment and tools.
Student Assessment and Support:
-Evaluate student performance through assessments, projects, and practical tests.
-Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their skills and understanding.
Qualifications:
-Certified Welder (CW) or Certified Welding Instructor (CWI) credentials are highly desirable.
-Extensive experience in welding, with proficiency in various welding techniques and processes.
-Strong communication and instructional skills.
-Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
