Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice is seeking an experienced part-time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to join our Hospice division in Pierce County!

Responsibilities of a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator:
- Plan and Supervise: Oversee the delivery of all volunteer services, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Monitor Performance: Track volunteer contributions, time, and service quality.
- Recruit and Select: Interview, recruit, and choose volunteers for the program.
- Train and Orient: Design/manage volunteer orientation and training sessions.
- Evaluate Volunteers: Assess volunteer performance/provide feedback.
- Ensure Compliance: Enforce volunteer hospice policies and procedures .
- Promote Community Awareness: Increase visibility of the volunteer program.
- Team: Attend Hospice IDG meetings, connect volunteers with the care team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a volunteer coordinator role, preferably in hospice or palliative care settings.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
- Preference given to Hospice Chaplains or Hospice MSW, but not required (higher wages apply to chaplain or MSW degrees/licensure)
- A licensed driver with an insured automobile
