Hospice Admissions RN

Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice provides compassionate and holistic hospice care to individuals and families during their end-of-life journey. We seek an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse to cover a Weekend Hospice Admissions.

Compensation: $53-60 per hour, based on experience

Mileage reimbursement: $0.65 per mile

Working Hours: This position covers weekends Saturday and Sunday admissions with the possibility of some routine visits assignments.

Location: Pierce County, Washington

Position Overview:

As a Weekend Hospice Admissions RN, you will play a crucial role in admitting hospice patients to service so they don't experience delays in their care. Your compassion, expertise, and dedication will provide solace and support to patients and their families during a challenging time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, provide pain management, and effectively manage symptoms.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families, creating a compassionate environment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and promptly report any changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families on end-of-life care and symptom management techniques.
• Comply with all healthcare regulations, including those specific to hospice care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State RN license.
• Required: Prior experience in a hospice agency
• Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.

Certificates and Training:

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Knowledge of hospice and palliative care principles is a must.
