We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Finance Analyst to join our team specializing in the travel retail channel. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to drive strategic decision making within our travel retail division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for the travel industry.
What you'll get to do- Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate the performance of our travel retail operations. This includes analyzing sales trends, profit margins, and expense management to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts for the travel retail division. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis to key stakeholders.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze cost structures across various P&L lines, including product costs, distribution expenses, and advertising and promotional (A&P) investments. Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve profitability.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for management, providing insights into the financial performance of the travel retail Americas division. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making on special projects, initiatives, and strategic initiatives within the travel retail Americas sector.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies within the travel retail division. Identify and mitigate financial risks through thorough analysis and proactive measures.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably within the retail or travel industry.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
