Hours/Week
- Weekly average, approximately 15 hours per week
- Required hours include days, weekends, overnights, and/or holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of one semester of college coursework successfully completed
- Must be actively enrolled at Purdue University.
- Previous work experience within University Residences, preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexible and dependable with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Be timely and organized
- Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Prepare, post, and maintain student office schedules as directed by supervising clerk
- Assist with training of student office staff
- Provide coverage at resident hall main offices working scheduled hours that will include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays and/or University breaks.
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities as part of a scheduled rotation
- Coach, counsel, and discipline student employees as needed
- Enforce all established office procedures
- Complete and submit maintenance requests online
- Must attend all scheduled staff meetings to gain and/or share pertinent information
- Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professional conduct when handling sensitive information
- Respond to emergencies according to established procedures
- Report violations of University and/or University Residences policy
- Maintain competency in the operation, including proper check-in/check-out procedures for residents and checking out equipment, as appropriate
- Exercise accountability for the proper handling and security of all issued keys, safe access, as well as hall property, i.e. hall equipment
- Other duties as assigned
