Supply Planning Manager
This role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our supply planning processes for finished goods purchases from OEM suppliers, inventory replenishment strategies, and container load purchases by retail partners. The responsibilities involve developing advanced supply strategies, leading a team of planners, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods to meet customer demands.
What you will do:
- Develop and execute advanced supply planning strategies aligned with business goals and market demands.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supply planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Analyze sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacities to create accurate and efficient supply plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales and marketing to ensure seamless flow of finished goods to our distribution centers.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with product availability.
- Lead initiatives to improve supply chain processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to manage supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular reviews of supply chain policies and procedures, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Coordinate with the finance team to align supply plans with budgetary goals and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all supply chain activities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Effectively manage product lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in supply planning or a similar role with relevant training or certifications, preferably in consumer-packaged goods industry
- Deep understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in advanced supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Proficient in MS Excel, and/or PowerBI or other Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, e.g. Qlik, or Tableau
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
