Plant Accountant/Financial Analyst

Objective of the Position: Assist Plant Controller with preparing financial information and reports by compiling information, and utilizing appropriate internal accounting control procedures.

Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

• Compile financial information and document business transactions.
• Analyzes data, tracks trends, resolves issues and investigate root cause.
• Prepare and review expense, and other accounting documents.
• Prepare reports for management review.
• Participate in Month-end processes.
• Process financial internal controls.
• Manage accruals and make journal entries.
• Data management to improve/maintain accuracy of data.
• Support costing.

Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

• Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
• Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
• Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirement Profile:

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

• Bachelors’ degree in either Accounting or Finance
• Minimum two years’ experience working in an accounting or financial role
• Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced Microsoft Excel skill
• Preferred (not required) familiarity with SAP.

Technical Expertise:

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
• Analytical- Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.
• Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
• Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.
