The Title Operations Specialist Tier 1 works in a team driven environment from the Manhattan, KS office and reports directly to the Title Operations Manager. This role involves ensuring that titles are distributed to buyers accurately and timely, updating and managing records and systems and collaborating with team members within the department and those in other Purple Wave departments. The specialist will work with buyers and the Customer Service team to resolve title questions and issues. The ideal candidate will be motivated, diligent, efficient, flexible, desires personal growth and team oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and outgoing title documents, updating internal systems accordingly with high accuracy.
- Update and maintain internal systems to accurately track the flow of work and information.
- Monitor workflow processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with title transfer standards.
- Coordinate with the Lender Services team to ensure consistent adherence to standards, protocols and processes.
- Collaborate within the Title Operations team to learn and solve problems.
- Maintain and organize document files and folders, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-organized.
- Collaborate effectively with various departments, fostering open communication and ensuring smooth operations.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of titles standards, processes and procedures in order to provide a quality service to our buyers and sellers.
- Train to become a subject matter expert to assist team members, other departments, buyers and sellers with title issues, finding resolutions and efficiencies.
- Investigates, resolves or elevates issues regarding asset transferability.
- Ensure standards of listings for all title or title-able assets are maintained.
- Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in using software and applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Candidates may be requested to complete position specific skills assessments.
- Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
- Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check.
Working Settings:
- Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, eligible for overtime.
- Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, overtime may be required to achieve due dates. Overtime is compensated in accordance with US Department of Labor requirements.
- Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $18.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour and is paid bi-weekly.
- Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).
- Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
- 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment
- Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment
- Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year. May vary to comply with state requirements.
- Eligible to participate in the Company Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) through Copart after 90 days of employment, with enrollment opportunities each May and November.
