Veterinary Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and team members.

Duties

• Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
• Handle phone inquiries, providing information about services, procedures, and pricing.
• Process payments and manage medical collections as needed.
• Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments.
• Provide support in the kennel area, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
• Maintain cleanliness in the reception area and assist with general office duties.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:

• Animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff.
• Familiarity with kennel operations and care for various breeds.
• Knowledge of dog training principles may be beneficial.
• Experience in laboratory procedures related to veterinary care is a plus.
• Background in veterinary critical care or animal catheterization can enhance your application.
• Skills in pet grooming or dog handling are advantageous but not required.
