Job Description:
The Permitting and Tour Advancing Coordinator will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for fireworks shows and special effects displays, coordinating with clients, local authorities, fire marshals, and code officials. This role requires excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, fire marshals, and code officials to secure permits for fireworks shows and special effects displays.
- Research and understand local, state, and federal regulations related to fireworks and pyrotechnics.
- Prepare and submit permit applications, site plans, and any required documentation to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Coordinate site inspections with authorities and provide on-site assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with the production team to gather necessary technical details for permit applications.
- Advance tour schedules by coordinating logistics, including travel, accommodations, and venue requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of all permits, communications, and deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory officials, clients, and internal teams.
- Stay updated on changes in permitting laws and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulations, safety codes, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with local authorities and regulatory agencies is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other organizational tools.
- A background in event planning, production, or permitting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of fireworks, special effects, or live events is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings as needed.
