Payrate: $30 per hr
Work Location: Corporate Office (Mon - Fri)
Primary Role
To ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll for a multi-state, multi-location restaurant organization—while supporting benefits, taxation, and employee inquiries in alignment with financial integrity and operational excellence.
Job Duties
Payroll Processing & Compliance
- Process multi-state bi-weekly payroll using Paycom, including hourly, salaried, and tipped staff.
- Handle all adjustments (bonuses, commissions, overtime, PTO, and special pay).
- Ensure accuracy and full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including FLSA, overtime, and tip credits.
- Maintain and audit detailed payroll records.
2. Benefits & Paid Leave Coordination
- Coordinate paid leave (FMLA, STD, PTO) with HR and Accounting.
- Run and distribute benefits-related reports as needed for compliance and tracking.
- Ensure payroll reflects accurate benefit deductions and contributions.
3. Payroll System & Data Management
- Manage employee data in Paycom, including tax withholdings, 401(k) contributions, job/pay rate changes, and deductions.
- Maintain data accuracy across roles, locations, and departments.
- Troubleshoot Paycom issues; escalate or resolve with support.
4. Tax Reporting & Legal Collaboration
- Oversee payroll tax filings, resolve discrepancies, and respond to notices.
- Partner with in-house legal counsel for state payroll tax setup and compliance issues in new or expanding jurisdictions.
- Support internal and external audits including 401(k), workers comp, and year-end filings.
5. Communication & Support
- Address employee payroll questions and discrepancies with urgency and professionalism.
- Support management teams with payroll system access, timelines, and issue resolution.
- Serve as a bridge between Finance, HR, and Operations for all payroll-related needs.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven payroll experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Proficient in Payroll software- especially Paycom
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and ERP systems.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment supporting multiple company restaurant locations
