DIRECT HIRE

The Project Engineer will analyze and interpret architectural design documentation (blueprints, specifications, proposals, and customer-supplied designs) to draw/engineer products, projects, or services

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work extensively with outside sales representatives, Estimating, Project Management, Installation, and Fabrication teams
• Create sales drawings via customer-supplied specifications or internally supplied dimensions for quoting purposes
• Review proposals and customer documentation post order entry to create submission drawings for approval
• Create fabrication packages (drawings, cleaning instructions, templates for shop) and coordinate with Shop Manager to provide proper paperwork for shop fabrication and shipment to customer
• Consult with Project Manager, customers, vendors, or other individuals to understand material requirements and customer expected delivery dates
• Provide technical support for prospects and customers

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in architectural, engineering, or computer drafting and design
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
• Previous experience in glass and glazing industry (Preferred)
