Position : Maintenance Technician (General)
Location : Colonial Heights, VA
Compensation : Based on Experience
Schedule : Monday – Saturday (Saturdays off based on production needs), 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts
POSITION SUMMARY :
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield.
JOB TASKS / FUNCTIONS
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Inspect systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and recommend equipment or supply purchases to improve processes.
- Document maintenance issues, conduct failure analyses, and recommend equipment improvements.
- Assist higher-level technicians and perform other duties as assigned.

PHYS IC AL REQUIREMENTS :
Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels.
