Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our commercial HVAC team in the DC Metro area. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and compliance with billing standards. Prior experience with ServiceTitan and in a service-oriented company is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate invoices for all jobs and projects, including subcontractor work.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records for billing personnel.
• Confirm the accuracy of all invoices and ensure timely collections.
• Input invoices into various customer billing portals (e.g., VendorCafe, OpsMerchant).
• Maintain compliance with customer billing portal requirements.
• Manage incoming payments, including cash application and reconciliation.
• Resolve billing discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Improve and streamline the collections process to enhance cash flow.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth billing operations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounts receivable or a related finance role.
• Experience with ServiceTitan is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in the service industry is a major bonus.
• Strong understanding of customer billing portals and compliance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
