KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Install, configure, manage, and upgrade operating systems in the cloud environments, including cloud server configurations, patches, and troubleshooting
- Assist with and resolve system issues, and monitor, document, and maintain approved system infrastructure configurations and network security for operability
- Monitor and analyze capabilities and performance of the systems; compare, evaluate, and implement new technology; and integrate systems into the computing environment
- Assist with developing system security strategies, policies, and procedures, and assist the Chief Engineer in overall cloud architecture, selection of cloud technology, and strategies for improvement of service delivery
- Provide expertise in technical computing environments
- Take direction from the Infrastructure Services Team Lead
- Mentor and direct subordinate team staff
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
BA / BS in IT / Cybersecurity / Computer Science or related field (HS and 4 years of additional experience or AS and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of BA / BS)9 years total experience (Relevant Master's Degree may be exchanged for 2 years' experience credit or a relevant PhD may be exchanged for 4 years' experience credit)5 years relevant position-specific experienceo Experience with cloud-based technologiesActive DoD 8570 Level II certificationActive AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional OR Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert OR Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud ArchitectActive CompTIA Security , Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar (e.g., Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP))Ability to work independently and in an agile, collaborative team environment.Active US Government Clearance at Secret level or higher.Effective written and verbal communications skills for collaboration with both customers and fellow team members.Ability to sit for extended periods of time and regularly lift at least 25 pounds.Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required.DESIRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
