Crew Leaders are responsible for leading a crew of up to 4 members to perform Landscaping Maintenance and renovation work. It is your responsibility to safely and efficiently supervise a crew to complete assigned maintenance or renovation tasks each day.

Responsibilities

• Direct, oversee, and participate in work performed by your team.
• Operate standard grounds maintenance equipment - push mowers, zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, edgers, pruning shears, etc.
• Trim and prune the right plants at the right times during clean-ups
• Teach and train team members to ensure proper procedures, processes, and quality of work are followed and achieved
• Maintain and care for all assigned equipment, tools, and vehicles
• Lead and motivate your team to meet daily production goals
• Follow and enforce all company safety rules and guidelines
• Ensure all crew members are clocked in and out appropriately
• Attend training classes and seminars as requested by executive management
• Represent Quality Island Landscaping in a professional manner and operate with the highest level of integrity

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years landscaping experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Excellent professional communication skills
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in hazardous environments, such as construction sites, and work in all types of weather.
• Be available to work 24/7 during the winter months, with the ability to respond quickly and with a sense of urgency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
