This position will oversee all three shifts, while providing direction and supervision. Responsibilities:
· Direct and supervise sheet metal fabrication employees on 3 shifts. Fabrication includes material receiving, shear, laser, turrets, break-out, deburring, press brake, panel bender, machining and welding.
· Directs all shifts and departments as one team through department leads.
· A hands-on shop floor leader operates not merely as a supervisor but as an integral part of the team, directly engaging with employees and processes to optimize outcomes.
· Maintain strong employee relations through clear, effective communication.
· Enforce company work rules, safety, quality, good housekeeping, EEO and employment policies and guidelines.
· Develop employees by following training prescribed in ISO procedures.
· Conduct annual performance reviews and provide continual feedback on both positive and negative performance.
· Recommend and make staffing adjustments, suspensions, transfers, layoffs, recalls, and terminations in partnership with human resources.
· Effectively meeting or exceeding the needs of the customers and the company.
Qualifications Desired:
· Previous foreman or supervisory experience
· BS/BA degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent in training, experience and knowledge
· Minimum of 6 years experience in fabrication
· Able to read and interpret blueprints and use of measuring equipment
· Ability to maintain a safe work environment
· Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution
· Knowledge concerning mechanical principles, Fabrication and Machining practices, the properties of metals, and the application of mathematics and dimensions
