Position Summary:
Responsible for supporting the Payroll Administrator by ensuring accurate payroll processing, managing new hire data, conducting audits, handling garnishments and unemployment claims, and responding to payroll inquiries. Responsibilities also include generating reports and assisting with special projects. The role requires attention to detail, discretion, and flexibility.
Essential Functions:
- Assist the Payroll Administrator in the processing of weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 1000 employees.
- Ensure new hire and rehire data is entered into HRIS in an accurate and timely manner.
- Create virtual Personnel Files for all new hires; save new hire documents in personnel files and in HRIS.
- Perform weekly timesheet payroll audits including time away from work requests.
- Process wage garnishments in compliance with court orders. Ensure timely correspondence and completion. Ensure timely and accurate deductions are entered.
- Audit information in HRIS for accuracy on weekly basis.
- Assist with unemployment claims processing.
- Build and run reports from FUSE as needed.
- Create/maintain Advanced Excel reports for Controller.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a payroll department preferred;
- Proficient in MicroSoft office products; Super User in Excel required;
- Experience with HRIS systems;
- Bilingual in Spanish or Swahili/English preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- This is a FULLY ONSITE position; mut be able to report onsite daily.
- Transportation to travel between buildings throughout the day required.

- Computer literate in a Windows environment.
- Strong written and spoken English skills; bilingual in Spanish or Swahili preferred.

- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to distinguish between colors.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand/sit for prolonged periods, move about office, production and warehouse facilities.
- Ability to travel between buildings.
