Job Description
A Wing Security Management Support typically involves assisting in the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and systems within a wing environment. This role often includes tasks such as monitoring internal and external security events, analyzing security incidents, and providing support for security training.
Qualifications
- Monitor security training requirements, changes in security procedures, publication of security directives, and enhancements designed to increase security awareness.
- Recommend and implement methods of adapting regulations to the local serviced organizations.
- Conduct security briefings to new employees during orientation and when necessary.
- Conduct training to ensure that personnel are receiving appropriate security education.
- Plan and conduct training sessions for representatives of all assigned and supported organizations.
- Conduct program reviews of unit personnel security managers on PSI processing, managing, and accomplishing their assigned duties for the security program.
- Evaluate all aspects of these programs for compliance with standards, policies, and instructions and report the status to the director of 492 SOW/A2 or designated official.
Qualifications:
- TS/SCI Clearance (Top Secret/SCI level)
Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: counterintelligence, investigations, industrial security, dignitary/VIP policy and security standard development, OPSEC, COMSEC, INFOSEC, security countermeasures programs, access systems operation and management, personnel protection and protecting classified information, or region desk officer.
- Knowledge of NISPOM and national and international security requirements. Understanding of and experience-based familiarity with the U.S. Federal Government and DoD agencies and their security practices.
- Experience waiver: Up to five (5) years of experience may be waived through education and/or industry certifications
- A Bachelor of science degree in a related field may be substituted for up to five (5) years of experience
- Each Industry certification in a related area may be substituted for one year of experience
Additional Information
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to work on Government contracts.
- Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
