About Us :
Quantum Towing and Recovery is a trusted provider of towing and roadside assistance services in the greater central TX area. As our company grows, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our financial operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and overall organization of our accounting records.
Responsibilities :
Process payments, including sending payments to customers and suppliers and handling bank deposits.
Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
Prepare and submit tax documentation to the correct legal authorities.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable.
Update and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Ensure proper data entry procedures, as this role includes managing payroll for all employees and contractors at the company.
Work closely with accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure financial accuracy.
Assist with insurance billing for major roadside recoveries.
Perform light administrative and HR duties, including assisting with employee documentation and compliance.
Work closely with the finance team and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications and Skills :
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
Strong ethical standards and professionalism in handling financial data.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field preferred.
Experience in administrative and HR duties is highly preferred.
