Quest Group is actively searching for an experienced VP of Accounting & Finance Consultant with an active CPA designation for a 3 to 4-month contract assignment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic financial leader who can step into a high-impact role and immediately contribute to optimizing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting executive decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in interim leadership, private equity environments, M&A, or corporate transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide executive-level oversight of accounting and finance functions.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis; identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Support strategic initiatives including capital structure review, cost optimization, or transaction readiness (M&A, audit, etc.).
- Provide interim leadership and guidance to the finance team; mentor and support staff as needed.
- Deliver executive-ready financial insights to the C-suite and/or Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles.
- Proven experience in interim or consulting executive roles.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
- Ability to quickly assess organizational needs and drive improvements.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Salary : $110 - $150
