We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Design Estimator to join our team! This is not a sales position — no cold calls, lead generation, or closing deals. Instead, this role is perfect for someone who loves math, thrives on accuracy, and has a passion for both design and numbers. You’ll work closely with our sales and design team to translate creative visions into precise estimates that drive project success.
Skill Set & Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-4 years in estimating, landscape design, or a related field
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Experience reading and interpreting landscape plans and construction documents
- Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and Google Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers and sales team to develop accurate cost estimates for landscape projects
- Research and source materials, labor rates, and vendor pricing
- Prepare detailed estimate reports and project budgets
- Update and maintain pricing databases and estimation templates
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
- Assist with value engineering solutions and budget alignment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to conduct site visits and measurements in varying weather conditions
- Extended periods of sitting for desk work
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
