Tasting Room Supervisor

Summary

Quilt and Co is a one-of-a-kind, multi-floor tasting room and wax dipping room in downtown Napa featuring the iconic wines of Joe Wagner. We’re in search of a dynamic supervisor to support our tasting room staff. This full-time hourly position is responsible for supervision and training of the Tasting Room staff during service, hosting guests, and ensuring all standards are being followed while providing exceptional guest experiences.

Key relationships

Internal: Hospitality GM, TR Chef, TR Supervisor, Hospitality staff

External: DTC Team, Sales Team, Customers, Vendors

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

General:

• Daily supervision of Hospitality staff, ensuring brand standards for service and experiences are being followed
• Genuine desire to provide with warm personality that demonstrates sincere engagement
• Hosts guests for our amazing waxing experience when needed
• Serves as a resource to immediately resolve staff and guest issues
• Trains and onboards new Hospitality staff
• Experience in scheduling and forecasting staff needs
• Provide social media content to our marketing team
• Provides coverage for Hospitality Team member breaks
• Responsible for service inventories of wine, glassware, collateral, etc.
• Reconciles cash transactions on a daily basis
• Responsible for opening or closing the Tasting room as needed
• Additional duties as assigned by the Hospitality GM

Job Requirements/ Qualifications

• Previous tasting room supervisory experience in a fast-paced tasting room required
• Experience in hiring, training and mentoring staff with the ability to lead in a high-stress environment
• Strong wine knowledge required; wine certification preferred
• Proficiency in Tock, Commerce 7, RedChirp software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) highly preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and some holidays as required
• Able to carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Able to climb multiple flights of stairs several times per day
• Able to interact comfortably with guests and staff in English
• CA Food handler and RBS certifications required within

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
