Job Purpose: The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the inventory of goods within the warehouses and service vehicles. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular audits, ensuring proper stock levels, and coordinating with operations teams to streamline inventory processes. The coordinator will also work closely with sales and operations to ensure the efficient flow of goods and the accurate documentation of inventory data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring they align with the company’s needs and projections.
- Perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of products within the warehouse.
- Track inventory movements, update records, and verify stock levels.
- Maintain a current parts listing in the Blue Cow software and create new part numbers as needed.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Maintain and update accurate inventory records in the Blue Cow software.
- Prepare and generate reports on stock levels, inventory trends, and discrepancies.
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, working with other departments to resolve issues.
Coordination with Operations Teams:
- Work closely with the warehouse, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure inventory levels meet operational needs.
- Coordinate with the operations team to forecast inventory demands and ensure timely stock replenishments.
- Assist in coordinating order fulfillment, ensuring products are available for shipment when required.
- Train and support new employees who interact with burner parts inventory. This will include office staff who schedule service appointments and perform service billing, Service Technicians who utilize Blue Cow tablet technology, staff who order and receive parts and equipment, and salespersons who generate quotes within Blue Cow.
Process Improvement:
- Recommend improvements to inventory control processes and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and best practices.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that inventory is stored in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory area to minimize errors and risks.

- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain operations.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing inventory issues.
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
At least 1-year energy services experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Has the ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to use calculator, ruler or other tools needed to perform duties.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, proficiency in Microsoft Excel is critical. The ideal candidate will have basic database skills, knowledge of inventory management systems, and experience with other analytical and reporting tools.
