What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coil Forming Operator - 2nd shift position at R&L Spring Company?
Job Summary:
The Coil Wire form operator under general supervision, will be required to operate various coiling/wire forming machines and perform associated tasks to help support the department and produce quality products for our customers in a cost-effective and timely manner.
**$1/hour shift premium for 2nd shift**
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate coiling, wire form and four slide machines
- Monitors machines for failures and notify setup individual of issues.
- Adhere to all quality requirements and perform all required in-process checks and data collection inputs.
- Notify supervisor/Team Leader if nonconformances are found.
- Complete necessary paperwork and traveler documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Packing & handling of completed parts.
- Follow R&L workmanship and quality guidelines
- Abides by all R&L policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook
- Abides by all R&L safety standards and requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to read and follow written work instructions
- Reading and understanding of customer blueprints
- Ability to use and understand electronic tablets for production data input.
- Ability to use and understand inspection measuring & and test equipment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Preferred manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand, walk, and use hands regularly.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
2nd shift hours:
Monday - Thursday: 3:30 - 12:00 am
Friday: 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
40 hours/week
Overtime available at times, but not mandatory
