Position Overview:
R&R Construction Services, a reputable construction consulting firm, is seeking a qualified Construction Field Inspector for a project at the Sitka National Cemetery. This role involves overseeing mostly exterior site work and some interior renovations. The position is for approximately 270 Days, beginning in April 2025.
Schedule and Compensation:
- 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
- Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections to monitor construction progress, quality of work, and adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily inspection reports, including descriptions of progress and accompanying photos.
- Verify that construction work complies with approved drawings and specifications.
- Inspect and ensure the quality of materials used on-site.
- Monitor job site safety, cleanliness, and worker conduct, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
- Take clear and accurate photos of site conditions and activities using a digital camera or phone camera.
- Upload photos to a computer and maintain organized records for project tracking.
Qualifications:
- A military background is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in commercial construction, architecture, or engineering is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to email reports and photos effectively.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized.
