What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wine Quality Assurance Specialist position at Rack and Riddle?
Role Overview:
The Quality Control Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our sparkling wine products by conducting thorough quality control checks throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality checks on wine and final products to ensure compliance with client specifications.
- Conduct thorough testing for Free/Total SO2, Alcohol, Density, and other parameters to verify adherence to client and work order requirements.
- Test and analyze pre-bottling tanks, packaging materials, and final products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform physical quality tests, including vacuum, torque, volume, oxygen, and CO2 measurements.
- Verify case checks at the end of production to ensure packaging compliance.
- Document QC hold procedures for products outside specifications and notify the QC Supervisor of deviations.
- Collect and track data for sample holdbacks and Micro Plating sample collections.
- Maintain accurate quality control documentation and review QC and bottling specifications.
- Collaborate with the QC Supervisor, Production, and Winemaking teams to address quality issues.
