What are the responsibilities and job description for the LVN position at Radar Recovery Center-Detox/Residential?
Job Summary:
The core responsibilities of this position is to facilitate the client's essential needs while on detoxification or residential status.
Job Duties:
- Completion of all duties and/or documentation per the Company's Policies & Procedures.
- Client rounds documentation on rounds sheet.
- Conduct Medication counts.
- Responsible for reading shift log at beginning of shift and completing their own shift log and essential tasks contained therein by conclusion of shift.
- Complete new admission intake procedures according to Company policies on all new admissions (UA, and paperwork such as comprehensive nursing assessment).
- Documentation of daily progress in client files.
- Observe and document clients taking medications in accordance with Company Policies.
- Observe and document client blood pressure and other vitals in accordance with Company and DHCS and Joint Commission guidelines.
- Crisis Intervention
- Assist, teach and/or supervise Behavioral Health Technicians with medical responsibilities.
- Complete daily nursing assessments on all detox clients.
- Refill medications as needed.
- CIWA / COWS / Polysubstance assessments.
- Communication with Physicians regarding clients detox status.
- Medication education.
- Assist with medical needs for clients at residential and partial locations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a LVN in California.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as law, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
- Must be able to relay information concerning a client's condition.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of addiction and evidence-based addiction treatment. (Preferred)
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility or department which may include a medical and physical examination. Special consideration is given to applicants with previous experience in mental health / substance use treatment.
- Ability to prioritize and perform with minimal direction.
- Computer literate and ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally with clients, administration, the treatment team and family members.
- Experience using EMR/EHR systems.
- Ability to function independently.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
