WHAT IS THIS JOB?
The Senior Operations Coordinator delivers administrative support to individuals at levels in the business, multiple offices, and teams. This position involves coordinating and executing complex administrative activities and projects while demonstrating a high level of discretion when handling confidential items. The Senior Administrative Assistant actively contributes to project planning and basic project management, serves as a mentor for team members – including onboarding support, and acts as a subject matter expert in improving administrative functions.

Primary Accountabilities
- Collaborate across teams to facilitate seamless project coordination. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines and milestones, to guide effective execution. Establish and manage checkpoints for timely progress on action items. Contribute to basic project planning and execution by coordinating schedules, resources, and logistics.
- Provides subject matter expertise regarding administrative functions and recommendations for solutions and improvements to increase efficiency of existing procedures, along with documenting and/or developing of new procedures as needed.
- Coordinate and support contractors and vendors. Fostering positive and effective relationships, ensuring open lines of communication for success.
- Act as a mentor and go-to resource for employees, providing guidance, support, and assistance in navigating various aspects of their roles and projects. Foster a collaborative learning environment by encouraging knowledge exchange among team members, promoting a culture of mentorship and growth.
- Prepares and ensures accuracy of requested information, reports, recommendations, and project outcomes/findings. Share knowledge insights with team members to foster continuous learning and professional development.
- Performs duties of Administrative Assistant II and travels to support business functions as needed.
- Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
