Position Summary

The Dosimetry Support Specialist is a dynamic role that combines the responsibilities of a Customer Service Technical Representative and a Dosimetry Investigation Specialist. This individual performs in-depth investigations into dosimetry results, resolves complex issues, troubleshoots technical challenges, and addresses customer inquiries. The role requires frequent interaction with Customer Success Representatives, the Quality Assurance personnel, Health Physics Support personnel, and various other departments within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to :

  • Contact customers regarding their dosimetry results, ensuring clear, accurate, and effective communication, particularly for high-risk, technical discussions.
  • Provide technical support to customers via telephone, email, chat, and written correspondence.
  • Conduct investigations into dose results at the request of clients or internal teams.
  • Research complex technical issues using policies, procedures, product documentation, and technical resources. Summarize findings and propose resolutions in a clear, written format.
  • Handle advanced records research, including effective dose equivalent (EDE) calculations, control subtractions, and corrections to occupational radiation dose reports.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, including Sales, Operations, Analysis Laboratory, Quality Assurance, and Management.
  • Provide feedback on adverse customer trends and suggest service improvements.
  • Assist and participate in internal quality audits to ensure compliance with NVLAP / ISO 17025 standards and company procedures. Support preparation efforts for external audits and inspections.
  • Document product and process non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Participate in testing new dosimetry products and services, providing feedback to improve quality and functionality.
  • Suggest enhancements to product features or processes based on investigation outcomes and customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations, resolutions, and customer communications.
  • Create clear, actionable summaries for management and team.

Minimum Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and competencies for success

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Physics, Health Sciences or equivalent experience in the field of Dosimetry.

  • Experience
  • 3 years industry or related experience.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical issues.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain in-depth technical knowledge of all product lines, reporting systems, manufacturing processes, and laboratory functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong coordination and organizational skills.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to suggest process improvements and solutions to enhance customer relations.
  • Competence in navigating compliance requirements and maintaining a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.
