Position Summary: Responsible for providing accurate and timely information and services to all guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Position Details: Full-time PM Desk Agent - 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday
Essential Functions:
- Greet, check-in, and check-out guests in an efficient, friendly, and professional manner.
- Obtain guest identification and credit/check approval as directed by hotel policy.
- Ensure special guest requests are communicated, noted, and fulfilled.
- Listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and friendly manner.
- Manage and resolve all guest complaints and problems in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
- Answer telephones promptly and courteously, routing calls appropriately.
- Enthusiastically sell property, offering information and answering questions on special events, property facilities, amenities, and special rate packages.
- Communicate with the next shift to pass on necessary information.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other departments to retain a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Complete tasks on the daily checklist.
- Adhere to policies regarding handling of employee’s cash bank.
- Post charges to individual room or master accounts.
- Reconcile all charges and cash received during the shift and prepare drop. Have drop witnessed.
- Drive company vans as needed.
- Handle guest mail and messages per established procedures.
- Offer and properly handle requests for wake-up calls.
- Keep work area neat and organized and conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Possession of government-required licenses or certificates.
- Basic math skills and prior cash handling experience.
Ability to:
- Handle many tasks at one time and work well under pressure.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Work as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively.
- Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Work any day of the week and any hour.
Physical Requirements:
- 6-8 hours of standing/walking.
- 3-6 hours of crouching/bending/stooping, reaching, grasping.
- 1-3 hours of pushing/pulling and lifting/carrying (up to 50 lbs).
- Up to 1 hour of sitting and climbing stairs.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage with benefits.
