Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
RadNet, Inc. is the largest owner and operator of outpatient medical diagnostic imaging centers in the United States, offering MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Ultrasound and other related areas such as, breast cancer treatment, research, and interventional radiology. This position will be involved in providing support and follow up for patients undergoing the Tulsa procedure. The Tulsa procedure is a radiation-free, incision-free, minimally invasive procedure to combat prostate cancer.
The Tulsa Scheduling Coordinator will be the single point of contact for referring physicians, patients, and caregivers during the Tulsa procedure as well as follow up procedures. On the date of the Tulsa procedure, the Tulsa Scheduling Coordinator will answer any questions the patient may have in regards to their procedure and assist patients during and after their procedure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates follow up for additional prostate imaging/procedures
- Answers incoming phone calls of patients and referring MD's to schedule Tulsa procedures including all pre-operative procedures.
- Obtain screening information and medical history of patients scheduled for Tulsa procedures.
- Obtains proper insurance and patient information, collects signatures and ensures accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
- Contacts referring MD to obtain referral/ authorization prior to appointment date.
- Notifies appropriate team member on patient's arrival for Tulsa procedures.
- Inform technologist and radiologist of special circumstances or accommodations needed for Tulsa procedures such as a patient who is extremely anxious or a patient taking blood thinners.
- Provides patient Tulsa procedure appointment time, orientation, prep, after care instructions.
- Collects and logs all payments and fees associated with the Tulsa procedures.
- Assists radiologist with providing patients appropriate orientation for Tulsa procedure preparatory and safety protocols.
- Responds to patient's questions and concerns, and refer to supervisor when necessary, in an expedient manner.
- Communicates delays in appointments in a timely fashion and offers rescheduling in circumstances where delays could be significant.
- Coordinates with the Tulsa technologist and performing radiologist, urologist, and anesthesiologist for timely and effective care of patients
- Contacts patient next day after Tulsa procedure to follow up
- Obtains proper authorization and identification prior to release of confidential medical records and/or pathology results.
- Uses clerical skills (e.g. filing, organizing, process incoming mail etc.).
- See that outside images and reports are obtained for radiologist review

Requirements:- Must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3-5 years of related imaging experience preferred.
- Possesses and utilizes excellent customer service skills, strong public relations skills, and exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized, possess clerical skills, and have the ability to interact effectively with doctors, referring doctors and staff, patients, vendors, peers, and management.

Physical Demands
This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, constant talking, and hearing. Visual acuity to read computer screens and written materials. Also, must be able to lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally.
Working Environment
Representatives work in a medical office setting with low to moderate noise level.

Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00/hour
