What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Radnor Veterinary Hospital?
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! You will assist doctors with all aspects of medical care for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, other exotic pets, and wildlife!
This is not an entry level position. Ideal candidates have the following skills: patient surgical prep, assisting doctors in surgery, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, post-surgical patient monitoring, medication injection and blood draws, collection and analysis of test specimens utilizing Abaxis lab equipment, as well as data collection and accurate recording in paperless computer system (Avimark), and ability to position for digital radiographs. You also have great customer service skills to communicate well with pet owners. Certification/license is ideal but not required.
You will have a set weekday schedule with occasional Saturday mornings. We offer discounts on pet care and retail products, as well as pet food, boarding and daycare for pets.
