Rainier Recruiting is partnering with a cutting-edge FinTech SaaS company who is seeking a Vice President of Product Marketing to collaborate closely with Product and Go-to-Market teams. This leader will craft and execute a compelling go-to-market strategy to drive growth and establish our brand as a leader in compliance, security, and risk management software. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Product, this role is pivotal in shaping the company’s positioning and competitive edge.

The VP of Product Marketing will develop market messaging, analyze the competitive landscape, and identify customer success stories to highlight the value of our offerings. Partnering with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams, you will lead initiatives to boost revenue and customer adoption. Additionally, you will equip the Sales and Customer Success teams with tools and content to deliver a seamless customer journey that fosters lasting value.

Compensation :   $175,000 to $225,000 salary plus significant performance bonus and equity (negotiable)

Location :  100% remote. Employees can live and work anywhere in the US.

Who You Are

You are a seasoned product marketer with a track record of success in crafting product positioning, differentiation, pricing, and packaging strategies. You have led impactful product launches and bring expertise in market analysis—from macro trends to user groups and focus groups. You excel at segmenting markets, defining value propositions, and prioritizing opportunities in collaboration with internal teams. You thrive on developing actionable content and strategies that empower sales teams to communicate the unique value of products effectively.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with key departments to deliver impactful go-to-market strategies for both new and existing products. Initially an individual contributor, you will eventually grow a team of product marketers. Key responsibilities include :

  • Continuously analyze market trends to uncover growth opportunities and refine value propositions.
  • Develop and maintain market segmentation, aligning the organization to market opportunities and creating playbooks to effectively engage prospects and partners.
  • Build expertise on industry trends and competitors to guide investment strategies and craft compelling messaging.
  • Design and implement a framework for evaluating and prioritizing opportunities based on metrics like total addressable market (TAM).
  • Create competitive intelligence to enhance win rates in sales cycles and improve customer retention.
  • Refine audience personas, including users, buyers, and stakeholders, to drive content strategies and improve conversion.
  • Map and enhance the buyer’s journey and customer journey with clear, strategic frameworks.
  • Develop and deliver compelling product messaging that resonates with target audiences and supports market adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute product launches and ensure alignment across go-to-market efforts.
  • Create and implement post-sale programs to improve adoption, retention, cross-sell / upsell opportunities, and customer advocacy.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

Your performance will be measured against key metrics, including :

  • Delivering comprehensive buyer personas and market insights.
  • Ensuring consistent alignment of messaging and content with product positioning strategies.
  • Successfully launching products and features on schedule, aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Improving lead conversion rates, sales win rates, average revenue per customer (ARPC), and net revenue retention (NRR).
  • What You Bring

  • 10 years of experience in product marketing or customer marketing within the software / SaaS industry.
  • 7 years of experience leading teams across time zones (remote leadership preferred).
  • Strong track record of successful product launches and scaling initiatives in high-growth environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively to varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of information and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in public speaking, training, and customer engagement.
