Dishwasher/Janitorial

Job Summary
We are looking for a dishwasher and janitor to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate is reliable, hard-working, and wants to be part of a team that works together to provide our patrons with the best dining experience possible. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping to run an efficient kitchen environment and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all guests and staff. Full-time opportunities exist between our two campuses in Downtown Nashua and South Nashua.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Receive, clean, and store all wares, kitchen equipment and smallware
• Help dining room staff, when available, with clearing and washing down tables, miscellaneous cleaning tasks, and running supplies, such as ice
• Run bus buckets/dirty dishes to the kitchen
• Hand wash dishes AND operate and use dish machine
• Run clean dishes to service stations
• Promptly identify and clean up spills, messes, and hazards in and around the kitchen, as needed
• Assist kitchen team in cleaning/close-down duties after shift, including sweeping and mopping
• Maintain clean and organized areas for trash, recycling, and linen receptacles (empty, reline, etc.)
• Empty, clean, and turn off dish machine at end of shift
• Sweep, mop and maintain dining rooms, hallways and stairwells, and bathrooms on an arranged janitorial schedule

Qualifications, skills, and requirements include:

• Punctuality
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable with regular use of stairs
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout an 8-hour shift
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Energetic, flexible, and quick thinking
• Clean and organized
• Ability to take direction and work swiftly and calmly in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Working knowledge of sanitation procedures
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
• Preferred: previous experience working in the hospitality industry

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
