Qualifications:
- Valid Teaching License (preferred)
- Head Varsity Coaching Experience (preferred)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Knowledge of school law
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive multiple projects concurrently, both independently and as a member of a team
- Use independent judgment and initiative in making sound decisions and in developing solutions to problems
- Discreetly handle confidential and politically sensitive matters
- Tactfully and courteously respond to requests and inquiries/complaints from the general public and staff
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community
Responsibilities:
- Promote Randolph Central Student-Athletes to the community and greater community
- Supervise and direct all interscholastic athletic programs
- Supervise and assist all coaches
- Recommend candidates for all coaching positions
- Assist in the promotion of good athletic relationships in the community
- Help supervise crowd control at events
- Coordinate the supervision of all home athletic events
- Coordinate the travel arrangements for all away events
- Evaluate all athletic coaches
- Be responsible for the scheduling of all contests
- Secure and designate workers for all home athletic events
- Schedule and contract all officials for home athletic events
- Maintain a record of all awards earned by each individual athlete throughout their career
- Conduct annual coaches meetings
- Oversee awards nights for each sport
- Order all athletic supplies, equipment, and uniforms
- Assist with leading the Athletic Booster Club
- Schedule all practices for interscholastic athletic programs
- Prepare IHSAA entry lists and provide rosters as needed
- Prepare/maintain/collect medical kits for each team
- Organize and maintain a file of athletic physicals
- Check and monitor students’ eligibility before/during season (physicals, emergency forms, academics)
- Help supervise cafeteria discipline during the lunch periods
- Assist in hallway during passing periods
- Prepare all purchase orders connected with the athletic dept
- Fill administrative roles as assigned by the Principal
- Attend School Board meetings when attendance is requested
- Work with the Director of Transportation, Buildings, and Grounds to determine need for athletic facilities
- Oversight/management of the athletic website and social media
- Securing sponsorships for athletics
Experience Preferred:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in interscholastic sports or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/management experience
- Familiarity with Driver Middle School & Winchester Community High School and the Indiana High School Athletic Association is preferred
