IT Support Specialist

job summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist with a strong background in Life Sciences technology environments to join a fast-paced onsite role in Boston, MA. In this role, you'll provide deskside support for a wide range of hardware and software systems, particularly within a regulated, compliance-driven industry.

responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues (Break/Fix support)
• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices
• Perform installations, upgrades, and relocations (IMAC duties)
• Handle asset tracking and inventory across IT equipment
• Manage mobile devices using Jamf and Intune
• Provide in-depth support for Apple (iOS/macOS) and Windows 11 environments
• Support business applications used in the Life Sciences space (e.g., Viva Vault, OBIE, LabWare)
• Ensure compliance with GxP and HIPAA standards
• Deliver top-tier customer service and maintain clear documentation of activities

qualifications:

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience with Life Sciences industry tools and compliance
• Proficiency with Windows 11, Bitlocker, Intune AutoPilot
• Jamf expertise for Apple mobile device management
• Hands-on Apple (macOS/iOS) and Windows device support
• Strong understanding of compliance (GxP, HIPAA)

Nice-to-Haves:

• Knowledge of data privacy and secure communications
• Remote and onsite support experience
• Rapid ticket response and troubleshooting ability
