HR Safety Specialist

Main Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Manage ISO 14001 Environmental Standard Programs, policies, and documentation.
• Develop safety and environmental training material and training for all employees, including managers.
• Lead accident investigations, ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• Manage worker compensation claims.
• Maintain facilities safety and environmental signage.
• Participate in the company's 5s program.
• Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
• Warn of potential and actual safety hazards and prevent access to hazardous conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
