Responsibilities
- Ability to communicate insurance benefits in a proficient manner to patients and caregivers.
- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple responsibilities and handle interruptions while consistently meeting productivity goals.
- Accepts work assignments willingly, with positive attitude and learns new job assignments in a reasonable period of time. Solid work ethic and energy. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with both internal and external clients that lead to more effective communication and a higher level of productivity and accuracy.
- Consistently obtain demographic information and all key data points for pre-registration.
- Correct RQA errors within 48hrs.
- Create patient estimates via the estimate software system or determine the appropriate deposit amount based on the procedure.
- Financially resolve patient account by providing financial discussion to include prompt pay discount, partial payment, and / or Financial Counseling referral. Properly receipt patient payments.
- Exude advanced knowledge of all insurance payers including Federal, state, and commercial plans.
- Verifies patient insurances via insurance verification system, websites, or by phone for 100% of encounters worked.
