Marina/Boatyard Dock Hand
Raritan Marina in Laurence Harbor, NJ is a full-service boatyard, marina, and new boat dealership. Due to recent growth and expansion, we are seeking marina yard dockhands to join our staff. This is a unique and rewarding position that will have various duties throughout the different seasons in our boatyard and new service building.

Job Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Launching and hauling power boats - handling dock lines to dock or undock vessels, help tow vessels into the lift or into slips.
- Assists with operating or directing machinery as necessary.
- General vessel maintenance and minor repair, including blocking and painting.
- General handyman work in service building resulting in a clean and attractive work area.
- General maintenance and cleanliness of boatyard, including landscaping and keeping docks and parking lot clean.
- Light dock repair and maintenance including tightening or replacing dock cleats, etc., and keeping docks free of debris and clutter, including hoses and dock lines which must be stowed properly.
- Assist customers with docking and tying of vessels safely Helping guests with docking and securing the boat when theyapproach the docks.
- Fuel dock – greet, help dock and service customers requiring fuel as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Individuals in this position must provide a high level of customer service and present a welcoming and professional image at all times.
- Commercial awareness and an eye for detail in all aspects of work
- Must be physically able to work in all areas of the boatyard in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license is required; forklift license is a plus!
- Previous marine industry experience as Yard Hand / Technician Assistant is a plus
- Broad knowledge of marina operations, boat lifting, boat handling and towing, plant and equipment maintenance is a strong plus!

Pay: $15 - $24.00 / hour, commensurate with experience

A flexible approach to working hours is required.
- 8-hour shift working across a 7-day a week rotating roster
- Some weekends and public holidays required
- Expected to work during peak times and special events
- Expected to be on call in times of emergency or bad weather

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
