What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Rauhorn Electric?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain drug testing program: Random, M.U.S.T, Post-incident/accident, Pre-employment
- Anniversary program
- Send and track companywide notifications
- OJT program (through MDOT); monthly reporting, documentation, etc.
- Employee Benefits program: work with benefits broker, qualifying life events, open enrollment, issues, etc.
- Reconciliation of benefits
- Recruiting: post positions, screen callers, setup interviews, etc.
- Survey: creation, distribution, collection/analysis of data
- Maintain HRHQ
- Annual performance review process: distribute, track completion
- Assist in Unemployment claims: check weekly, contest if needed, etc.
- Company culture development: create new ideas to positively build the culture within the company
- Annual reporting: 1094 and 1095
- Assist with Internships/Co-ops; incidents
- Backup for HR Assistant
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience handling performance management and conflict resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong understanding of recruiting, onboarding, and training processes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive HR matters
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with different teams
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree: in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Other (e.g., equivalent experience): 3-5 years of experience.
