As a School-Based Therapist, you’ll have the unique opportunity to provide therapeutic services directly within the school environment, creating a safe space for students right where they spend their days. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines, making a real difference in the lives of young people by offering support where they need it most—in the heart of their daily lives. You won’t just provide therapy; you’ll become a trusted presence in their world, offering hope, guidance, and care where it can make the most impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Therapeutic Engagement: Provide compassionate and effective therapeutic services within the school setting, making therapy a natural and accessible part of students' daily routines.
- Continuous Growth: Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and consultation, fostering your professional development and ensuring you stay at the forefront of therapeutic practices.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise and confidential clinical records and collaborate with the administrative, billing, and credentialling team to handle insurance paperwork to support the holistic care of your clients.
- Seasonal Rhythm: The role begins in the last full week of August and extends through the second full week of June, giving you a balanced work-life schedule with 10 weeks off during the summer.
Qualifications
Your Qualifications:
- Educational Foundation: You have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: You are insurance billable with credentials such as LPC, LPC-IT, LCSW, LMFT, or APSW.
- Clinical Expertise: You have experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health issues and are dedicated to providing quality individual, group, and family therapy.
- Collaborative Spirit: You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, understanding that together, we can achieve more for the youth we serve.
- Communication Skills: Your verbal and written communication skills are excellent, allowing you to effectively connect with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Mobility: You hold a valid driver’s license, ready to travel to different school locations as needed.
